Aloluv [Water] The last day of the 5-day Bracket Fusion update! Haha, what are the odds of 5 single stage/form Pokemon in a row? I think this pretty fish would fit in this new Alola region on name alone =P

Pokemon Bracket Fusion Project Info:
Generation: 1
Parents: Alomomola/Luvdisc

Vote for the next fusion here!

Yeah, pretty, pretty useless XD No, I didn't mean that, Aloluv, you're cute.

And you bringing up Alola reminded meh what are you going to do with all these new Pokemon coming out? Are you going to incorporate them into your fusions?
Pokemontrainergigi October 16th, 2016, 5:41 pm
@ReaderWriterNerd&Geek: Hey it could give you a Heart Scale...wait those are mostly useless except in a select few games...? Oh. Well it's cute, cute is not useless C:

Yes! I have added them to the list and rerun my formulas every time they get added. Nothing with new stuff will be drawn until all the new Pokemon are revealed (since the fusions change every update). So basically any fusions I'm drawing now are those not effected by any changes (at the time of their drawing). A few have changed pairs with new updates, or gotten updates that I have to account for, but all that will be sorted out, again, once everything is released.

The spreadsheet here (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Ypa2wRGOJK4dNCba_0yIc45vY31-tNKdInPmJ7XrLsY/edit ) keeps a list of that progress and what things might have changed (this is on the main post, linked at the bottom of the author's comment).

@Pokemontrainergigi: Cute is absolutely not useless. :)

OK, sounds like it'll be awesome! :D I wondered how everything was going to work out when I realized they were releasing Gen. 7, but seems like you have it under control.

And I peeked ahead at the fusions and now I feel like I spoiled a story for myself XD

@ReaderWriterNerd&Geek: Hey at least I'm not listing ALL of them. There's 201 fusions total right now, but that's assuming we're getting no more new releases (which I'm sure we are!). So there's a whole bunch more that are still yet to be seen ;D

Fun fact: not mentioning which Pokemon, but as of right now (before Gen 7 changes something), there is a pair that literally the other is the LAST POSSIBLE POKEMON they wanted to be paired with (aka the worst pair). They are not a happy couple XD
ReaderWriterNerd&Geek (Guest) October 16th, 2016, 8:07 pm
@Pokemontrainergigi: That's true. And wow, for some reason 201 doesn't sound like much. I'm sure you probably feel differently XD

That sounds like a blind date gone horribly wrong. XD
Pokemontrainergigi October 16th, 2016, 8:31 pm
@ReaderWriterNerd&Geek: Well that's 201 for round 1. Then 100 for round 2 (1 getting a bye). 50 for round 3 (+another bye)...it's gonna be a LOT of Pokemon fusions.

The bottom of the bin is fun to look at because it's so silly. It's going to be a challenge though when I finally get down there XD

So these are NOT the current bottom pairs, but before Gen 7 was added the bottom 5 were:
1. Tropius and Flabebe
2. Solosis and Zygarde
3. Azurill and Onix
4. Giratina and Heracross
5. Basculin and Frillish

@Pokemontrainergigi: Look, look, I finally made an account! :D

Anyhow.

Sooo many fusions...it's going to be exciting :)

And all those sound very strange, but the one I'm having most trouble with is Tropius/Flabebe. Tropius is *huge* and Flabebe is...not. XD
Pokemontrainergigi October 16th, 2016, 10:04 pm
@ReaderWriterNerd&Geek: Woo! :D

Also Tropius has 1 stage, Flabebe has 3 + 5 forms for each (Eternal Flabebe is not counted for this project). That would be a doozy. Though at one point it was Eevee and Flabebe. The math there is just...
ReaderWriterNerd&Geek October 17th, 2016, 2:39 pm
@Pokemontrainergigi: Yeah! :D But I'm having trouble remembering that I don't need to type my name into the "Comment Title" box. XD

Yes, come to think of it, I can't think of ANY Pokemon where the math matches up with Flabebe. Except Arceus? XD
Pokemontrainergigi October 17th, 2016, 3:03 pm
@ReaderWriterNerd&Geek: The constant weird ones are--wow I was typing up a list but it got LONG. Basically things with a ton of forms/stages (like Unown), things with a large type spread (like Arceus being able to be all types), or body shape (Vulpix/Ninetales mass of tails). I actually had to implement outlier rules because these guys massive screwed the rest of the calculations up!
ReaderWriterNerd&Geek October 17th, 2016, 5:25 pm
@Pokemontrainergigi: Ech. I hadn't even thought about Vulpix/Ninetales and how hard those tails would be to combine. :P Things should get...interesting as we go along. XD
Pokemontrainergigi October 18th, 2016, 6:19 pm
@ReaderWriterNerd&Geek: Well with this new slew of updates (aka datamining from the demo) more new stuff! Biggest being 99.9% of pairs just had their score increase! What that means is (long explanation incoming) one of the worst possible pairs (not chosen, possible) got even worst. For determining the sub-scores (weighed from 0 to 1) for Stages/Forms and Body Shape, a score of 1 means that they're a perfect match, where a score of 0 means they are the worst possible combination to ever see the light of day. So an increase in scores means there is a new worst possible combination! O:

@Pokemontrainergigi: Oh no! Their marriage is very quickly going downhill. XD I want to ask who it is but I also want to save that for a surprise.
